What Nobody Tells You About Japan

Most of the Japan travel advice you find online was actually written by other tourists, not locals, which means what shows up on your social media is often just one tourist repeating another tourist's tips. That creates a lot of misinformation, and it makes planning your trip harder than it needs to be. It also makes the actual trip worse once you land. Most tourists end up waiting in huge lines, breaking cultural rules they never even knew existed, and paying for experiences that weren't worth their time. We hated watching people fall in love with the country we grew up in and never get to experience the real version of it. That's why we built Japan travel guides made entirely from real local knowledge.

Our Story

We're the founders, Joe and Leo, and we built every one of these guides ourselves. We spent over 200 hours building them, and we put everything we know about our home country into every page. Along the way, we interviewed hundreds of locals, including chefs, concierge workers, and taxi drivers, to make sure every recommendation in the guide comes from someone who actually lives here.
